Company description We started out like many other Dive-dedicated organizations - We were small, and we had boats over the years that were converted from some other purpose to be used as dive boats. But as we grew, we wanted to obtain the very best Dive Vessels available. In 1995 we took delivery of our first Newton 42` Dive Boat, a vessel that is designed and manufactured for only one purpose ... Diving!
In 1998, we took delivery of our second Newton 42` Dive Boat, and we now operate two of the fastest, most efficient and roomy dive vessels in the Florida Keys.
Because these boats are designed and made for divers, they can accommodate up to 32 passengers without becoming a ``cattle boat`` although it is rare that we put that many divers on a boat.
And because these boats are FAST, we visit far more dive sites on a regular basis than anyone else in this area. These are dedicated, fast, comfortable dive vessels that were built with you, the divers, in mind.
You will dive from one of our two state-of-the-art boats. These roomy vessels boast heads, camera stations and showers. Our boats offer more personal space than the typical 16 passenger or 6 pack, so don`t worry about overcrowding. Make your requests - our Captains and crew aim to please.
At Aqua-Nuts and Kelly`s on the Bay, we offer a wide variety of PADI programs. Whether you`re just thinking about getting started in diving, or you`re already an experienced diver or snorkeler, we`d love to help you achieve your goals. There is a lot more to consider when choosing location to complete your training with than cost alone. The money you spend and value you get are both equally important. We make it our first priority to provide the best quality diver training at a price that is affordable, but ensure that you receive the very best.
There are certainly many other dive operations available for you to train with, and if your primary interest is just getting another ``C-Card``, any will probably do. But if what you`re after is serious, competent training, the chance to say that you`ve accomplished something when you`re done, and the opportunity to have fun while you`re training, then you are in the right place.
You can complete your academic and pool, or confined water portions of Open Water Diver training with NAUI, SSI, PDIC, YMCA, IDEA or NASDS in your home area, and then come to Key Largo to finish your course with us through the Universal Referral Program.
We are proud to be one of the few PADI GOLD PALM, 5 Star Resorts, a coveted award. At Kelly`s, the diving is also easy. The resort is home to Aqua-Nut Divers, a modern, full-service dive operation. Everything you need as a diver is right here. Amble to the thatched-roofed tiki hut for a hearty weekend breakfast in the open air. While you munch, enjoy a video preview. Then step onto the boat for a quick trip to the reefs of Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary. Two trips every day, and night dives several times every week.

Location description: Diving in Key Largo is an all year `round pleasure. There are so many dive sites to visit, you might want to give your friends a forwarding address! Because the Gulf Stream passes just offshore, conditions on the reef are almost always great. Water temperatures range from nearly 90 degrees in summer to a low of around 70 degrees in winter. Visibility can be from 100` to 40`. Our reefs are simply loaded with life, and you can plan on seeing so many different types of critters that you will want to take advantage of our underwater camera rentals just to keep track of them. The depths on most of the reefs range from around 40` to 18`, and some of the deeper dives are about 100`. Key Largo is the home of the only true barrier reef to be found in the U.S. The reef parallels the islands, about six miles offshore, and the trip takes about 40 minutes. And don`t forget to sign up for a night dive! There is a whole new world on the reef at night, and if you don`t see it, you will have missed seeing things that you can never see during the daytime.
Kelly`s On The Bay is a unique 34-room dedicated dive resort with a heated pool. One size rarely fits all, so Kelly`s offers a range of accommodations, from rooms to efficiencies with kitchens. All units feature air-conditioning, Cable TV, and phone.
We have many different sizes of rooms and arrangements, from single beds to special waterfront rooms with queen beds, two-room suites and king-size beds. Amenities include complimentary snorkel gear while on the property, locked dive gear storage for guests, a swim area and a heated pool, a covered picnic area with hammocks and grilles, free kayak usage, and several great restaurants within walking distance. Also within walking distance, waverunner rentals, parasailing, power boat rentals.
