How do I sign up for a class at MDC Sports?
Its as easy as 1, 2, 3
1) Choose a date & purchase the study materials. It is always best to sign up in person at MDC Sports.
2) Fill out the paperwork specific for each class. including the PADI Medical Statement and Liability Release.
3) Complete your home study before the class
That is the hard part, the rest is where the real fun begins. Depending on which class you have chosen, there will likely be classroom time, a pool session or two, and then diving in the open water.
Our goal is to help you acquire the proper skills for diving, which include complete understanding of why those skills are necessary. We want you to become a better, safer, and more confident snorkeler or diver. Most importantly, we want you to have FUN!

Underwater Hockey
This is a fast-paced team sport played on the bottom of a swimming pool. Players use a mask, fins, snorkel, and a short stick to pass a weighted puck along the bottom of a pool...all while their breath.
Fundamental skills can be learned by signing up for the Underwater Hockey through the Rochester Community Education program. This 7 session event teaches the necessary skills and techniques for you to effectively play and enjoy the sport.

Participants must know how to swim and you`ll need to supply your own mask, fins & snorkel.
MDC Sports is Rochester`s first and final stop for Inline Skate training, information and maintenance.
Our knowledgeable staff will take the time to get you into the proper style and fit of skate to meet your goals.
