Wreck Diving Magazine
Media Scuba Diving
(English)
Company description
Not a dive magazine for divers, not a sport magazine for divers, and not a travel magazine for divers. We are not only of these things, we are all of them! We are and have been for the last three years, a magazine about the interests, the curiosity, the passion of divers. We have no limitations other than having to surface for air. WDM is different from any other magazine, our single goal is to thrill and challenge our readers to... uncover the past!

On website you'll find books descriptions and reviews, like following:
"Rum Runners, U-Boats, & Hurricanes
The Complete History of the Coast Guard Cutters
If you enjoyed WDM Issue 7, specifically the article chronicling the Deep Sea Detectives production involving the Bedloe / Jackson wrecks, and you appreciate real human drama; Rum Runners, U-Boats, Hurricanes is the book for you! Bryan Galecki has exhaustedly researched this manuscript since he first started diving on the wreck of the Jackson in 1991 to bring the reader the facts and history concerning the horrible events that occurred that stormy Thursday morning the 14th of September, 1944. These events culminated into one of the greatest losses of life in United States Coast Guard history.
The Bedloe and the Jackson were USCG cutters that were originally tasked with patrolling the borders of the United States to support the law enforcement efforts concerning prohibition. These proud cutters were from the 125 foot class that was “specifically designed to stay offshore for long periods of time in all weather conditions†to apprehend rum runners.
As times changed, their mission changed and these proud ships underwent numerous reconfigurations of armaments, power plants, and structural design to meet the ever changing mission requirements of the United States Coast Guard Service. The final mission configuration for the Jackson and the Bedloe was one of a Submarine Chaser in the Battle of the Atlantic. In fact it is the actions of U-518 that set in motion a series of events that will ultimately end with the demise of the two proud ships....."
* "Scapa Flow From Graveyard to Resurrection
Edited by Simon Mills
Scapa Flow, From Graveyard to Resurrection is quite unique in that it includes Admiral von Reuter’s memoir, his justification for his actions. These memoirs were previously published by author Dan van der Vat in his book The Grand Scuttle: The sinking of the German fleet at Scapa Flow in 1919, but that book is long out of print. In Scapa Flow, From Graveyard to Resurrection shipwreck historian Simon Mills not only re-publishes the memoirs, he also received access to photographs and documents from the family of Admiral von Reuter with permission to use the material in his book. In his own words, von Reuter begins his memoir with “There has been a long expressed wish for an account of the last few months of the existence of the German High Seas Fleet. In the following work, I will try to fulfill this wish as endeavor to give full details to justify the scuttlingâ€. So defiant was von Reuter, that at the end of his memoir he ended by saying “God-Speed the Third German Fleetâ€, already contemplating a new German naval force.... "
