Captain Lloyd
Captain Lloyd Oubre is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain and has been running dive charters in many different locations for over 10 years; on the Northern Gulf Coast of Florida, in Dominica West Indies, and in Key West and the Florida Keys.
A native of New Orleans, Lloyd is a former U.S. Army reconnaissance scout, has been a Dive Instructor since 1989, and is experienced in all aspects of boat building and restoration as well as marine mechanics.

After years working in the charter boat business, Lloyd and his wife Sarah are proud to branch out on their own and to share their passion for the water with you. ``The water is our passion - it`s been our life for many years and we`re delighted to share it with you. Our dive operations are designed to ensure your comfort and safety. Convenient bench mounted tank racks, ample handrails, and our spacious cockpit make set up, water entry, and exit easy. Every diver is checked out and back in after each dive, and floating stern (``tag``) lines and descent lines are provided to make your diving adventure a pleasure.
Every trip will have a Dive Master / Deck Hand on board to assist in preparation and provide surface support. For those that may wish to have a guide along during your dive, personal professional Dive Master services are available for an extra charge. Be sure to let us know ahead of time so that we can schedule these services for you.
Be sure to bring your Dive Certification Card or Verification of Certification (log book, etc.). We do not have the ability to ``look up`` certifications at the boat.
Dive Equipment - Please be sure that you have everything you`ll need and that it is all in good working order before you arrive at the dock. Please be sure to bring a timing device - a dive computer, watch, bottom timer, etc. This will be the only part of your vacation that will require time-keeping - but it is very important for your safety while diving! If you need anything (rental or purchase) we recommend that you visit MBT Divers.
A Hat, Sunglasses, Towel, Drinks, and Snacks are not provided and are highly recommended. We provide cooler space, Ice, and water. No Alcohol please!
Please also remember: It`s customary to tip the deck hand / divemaster on any charter vessel - it`s how they make a living.
Spearfishing is permitted on any of our regularly scheduled charters unless otherwise specifically noted. We provide the necessary licenses, but you must provide the equipment. ALL laws and regulations are strictly enforced, and we require all spearfishermen to conduct themselves safely and responsibly - know your target, collect only what you are going to eat, and be considerate of other divers.
If you`re a more experienced spearfisherman, consider a private charter. Bring some friends and we`ll take you beyond the normal bounds and customize the trip just for you.

Location description: The Sea Scout is available for private dive charters to remote locations not accessible on a normal 2-tank dive trip. Perfect for spearfishing, tech divers & anyone who wants a more personalized trip. Come dive the Timber Holes & Trysler Grounds, both areas of natural bottom or go to the Chevron & Tenneco platforms - two decommissioned oil rigs sunk as artificial reefs. There are also lots of smaller spots to dive including concrete fish havens, culvert pipes and smaller wrecks. Bring 3 tanks and make a whole day of it! $125 per hour Maximum of 6 Divers 6 Hour Minimum
Do you have non-divers in your group?
The Sea Scout offers combo dive and fishing charters. We provide all necessary licenses and we`ve got plenty of rods & reels - or you`re welcome to bring your own.
Do a couple of dives, do some fishing & trolling. This is a trip that`s sure to please everyone in your group! We`ll even clean your catch and send you home with dinner! (cooking not included)

Known as one of the oldest settlements in the New World and the ``Cradle of Naval Aviation``,Pensacola is host to a number of historic and modern wrecks.
Some of the more popular sites that we regularly visit include:
The San Pablo, also known as the ``Russian Freighter``, Supply Ship Pete Tide II, Joseph Meeks Liberty Ship, Tug Born Again, Three Coal Barges, Tex Edwards Barge, Dredge Avocet, Freighter Anteres, ``Oops`` Barge, Battleship USS Massachusetts, and the Chevron Oil Rig.
Our boat
The boat features custom tank racks, a 36 inch cutout transom, flush decks, and full length dive platform with heavy custom built dive ladder that makes getting on and off the boat a pleasure- with fins on or off! The boat also features plenty of handrails for added comfort and security while underway. The Sea Scout is U.S.C.G. licensed for 14 divers (22 passengers), but for added comfort we generally limit the number of divers to10 on open charters .

Safety is absolutely our #1 concern, (fun is a very close 2nd). Aside from being fully licensed and insured, the Sea Scout is equipped with all the required safety and lifesaving equipment including a DAN oxygen kit for scuba divers.
