Company description Welcome to the Aquatic Adventures (Aust) Pty Ltd. Aquatic Adventures are Victoria`s leading recreational group of scuba diving centres. We offer a full range of scuba diving equipment from such well known brands as Mares, Aqualung, Oceanic, Suunto, Sea & Sea, Neptune and many more.
Through our rating as PADI 5 Star & PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre`s, our partnership with PADI, the worlds leader in recreational scuba diver training we can offer dive courses to help you begin exploring the wonders the underwater world has to offer and assisting you right throughout your entire diving career.

Aquatic Adventures (Aust) Pty Ltd has had a very interesting and unusual life. Prior to the opening of our Rye facility; Aquatic Adventures as we know it today did not exist. The company was a pair of separate dive centers that were owned and operated by the same people. These were known as Academy of Scuba (our Glen Iris facility) and Aussie Dive Instruction Pty Ltd (our Rowville facility).
In mid 2002, Aquatic Adventures was opened by the group of dive centers consisting of Aussie Dive Instruction & Academy Of Scuba as The Deco Stop. The Deco Stop functioned as a port of call for courses and club divers from the other two stores and was open only between Friday and Sunday.
At Christmas 2002; The Deco Stop was moved from it`s previous address to 2385 Point Nepean Road, Rye and renamed ``Aquatic Adventures``. This store quickly became the profile by which the group has been built since then.
In 2003, the three stores begun trading as the Aquatic Adventures Group; however maintained their independent identities. In early 2004, the identity of the group changed when Aquatic Adventures (Aust) Pty Ltd was established and all three of our facilities began trading as Aquatic Adventures- Rye, Rowville & Glen Iris.
The company began developing a single unified branding profile and in late 2004 all three of our facilities undertook extensive renovations and upgrades including expansions to our training equipment and facilities to bring all of our facilities up to the same standard and style.
At the start of 2004, Aquatic Adventures was contracted by William Angliss Institute of TAFE to provide all dive training and services for their world recognised; Diploma of Dive Resort Management program.
Aquatic Adventures (Aust) Pty Ltd continues to grow from strength to strength hopefully expanding into more locations in the future.
Aquatic Adventures are proud authorized dealers for all of the major, and many of the minor but quality brands of scuba diving equipment available on the market. We stock a full range of hardware (BCD`s, Regulators & Cylinders) as well as a huge range of accessories and software (including Wet, Semi-Dry and Dry Suits).
Aquatic Adventures operate the largest and most modern rental fleet in Victoria. Our scuba diving equipment includes some of the best from Aqualung, Seaquest, Mares & Oceanic.
All of our rental scuba diving equipment is less than two years old, is serviced every 6 months and is regularly inspected and replaced.
We Hire:
Exposure Suits - Sonar Semi/dry 7/5mm Neoprene, plush lining with neck, wrist and ankle seals. Hooded vests are also available.
BCD`s - Mares Vector 1000 / Oceanic Probe QLR / Seaquest Pro QD+
Regs - Mares V16 Proton, Aqualung Titan LX Adj, Oceanic CDX5 Alpha 7
Tanks - 85cft and 100cft Steel Cylinders.
Weight Belts and Weight - Apollo pocket weight belts
For health & hygiene reasons, Aquatic Adventures discourage the rental of personal items such as boots, mask and snorkel. We carry a large range of these for purchase from our stores; there is sure to be something to suit your tastes and budget.
Location description: Aquatic Adventures prides itself on being a leader in group dive travel, with a large range of trips scheduled every year; some to the stable favourites such as Vanuatu and Truk Lagoon and others to less explored locations such as the Red Sea. Whether you are into wrecks, reef or a good mix of the two; there will be a trip to suit you. During 2006 we have a number of new and exciting dive destinations added to our repertoire including Bikini Atoll. Our current trip schedule is available on this page, including links to a full range of information about each trip. All Aquatic Adventures facilities are P.A.D.I, I.A.N.T.D, accredited diving facilities. We offer all dive courses, some held on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, or one-on-one personal service. There are three main areas of Dive Courses: Recreational Diving, Professional Diving and Technical Diving
Before you can take part in any dive training you must have an approved Scuba Diving Medical Certificate.
PADI Discover Scuba - Want to just try Scuba diving? Then a day of Discover Scuba is just for you.
PADI Open Water Diver- `Learn to Dive`, experience one of the most unique and diverse environments in the world. Upon completion of two pier dives and two boat dives, you will receive an internationally recognised certification through, PADI. Why not try it in one of the worlds best temperate water locations.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver- The PADI Advanced Open Water is the perfect way to both refine and learn new scuba diving skills. Held over one weekend, the course includes a more detailed look at buoyancy, navigation and boat diving as well as adding deep diving (max 30m) skills to your scuba diving experiences. After certification you will have extended your depth limit up to 30 metres opening up a whole new range of dive sites.
PADI Rescue Diver- Will expand your knowledge and experience beyond the purely recreational level of diving, you`ll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of others. The course can be completed directly after your PADI Advanced Open Water dive course. For those divers interested in taking their diving into the professional level and completing their Dive Master and Instructors courses, the PADI Rescue Diver course is a mandatory pre-requisite.
PADI Specialty Courses - Aquatic Adventures offer the full range of PADI Specialty Courses. As well as teaching you specialised skills, the range of PADI Specialty courses will also enhance your current diving making your diving even more enjoyable!
PADI Master Scuba Diver - After achieving 5 PADI Specialties you can apply for your Master Scuba Diver Certification. This denotes that you`ve reached the highest recreational diver level in the PADI System and have experience in many different dive environments.
