Company description Many people do not realise the diverse and fascinating diving that spectacular Sydney has to offer. Let us take you on a guided shore or boat dive and show you our protected marine areas, with outstanding underwater sea life such as Wobbegong and Port Jackson sharks, huge friendly Blue Gropers, giant cuttlefish and the unique Weedy Sea dragon.
We are proud of our commitment to diver education and safety. Every month we run a series of courses to help you improve your diving skills . All levels of divers are catered for and whatever your area of interest in the sport there is bound to be something for you. Call us with the date and details of the courses you wish to attend and a $75 deposit will secure your place. As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Training Centre Dive Centre Manly is in an unique position to be able to offer you an extensive range of diver training programs from discover scuba to advanced technical, deep and rebreather diving.
The centre is conveniently located in Manly close to the Wharf and bus station and only minutes away from local shore dives and boat pick up points. Dive Centre Manly has an extensive retail showroom, a fully equipped service centre including hydrostatic cylinder testing, 2 training classrooms and a mixed gas, nitrox and air fill station. Having these facilities on site helps ensure you receive realistic hands on training.

Richard Nicholls - Widely respected as one of the regions leading exponents of safe diving practice and the person instrumental in introducing the technical diving revolution to Australia, Richard Nicholls is a PADI Course Director, a DAN O2 Instructor Trainer, DSAT Tec-Rec Instructor Trainer, PADI Gas Blender Instructor Trainer, EFRI Instructor Trainer and a Trimix and Rebreather Instructor Trainer for ANDI.
Richard has personally logged over 5000 dives throughout Australia, Asia, the South Pacific and Europe. He is also the principal author and has advised on many of the training texts used to teach advanced diving techniques.
He owns and operates two of the busiest and most successful dive centres in New South Wales and previous candidates have found Richards unique advice and guidance during their instructor training invaluable.
Chris Tangredi - A PADI Course Director since 1995, Chris has taught many instructor candidates throughout Australia and Indonesia.
Not only is he one of the countries leading diver trainers but he has also managed dive centres here in Sydney, Queensland, Malaysia and Bali.
He has worked and taught on various liveaboard dive boats in Queensland and has seen and guided many of his instructor graduates into their new profession.
Divemaster Program (DM)
As a Divemaster you’re a leader—someone others will turn to for advice, to help solve problems, for assistance or just to make their dives more convenient and more fun. Congratulations on making it this far . Just to qualify to enter our PADI Divemaster program is an accomplishment.
Assistant Instructor Program (AI)
The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). You`ll not only gain additional experience as a PADI Professional but you`ll also start learning the PADI System of diver education.
An Assistant Instructor can:
Teach academic presentations under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor
Evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor
Teach the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course
Teach Project AWARE Specialty courses
Conduct PADI Discover Scuba experiences
Teach Emergency First Response after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course
Instructor Development Course (IDC)
The foundation of PADI instructor training is the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).
