| Company description
| The Underwater Club has a 16 foot aluminium, purpose built dive boat, affectionately known as ``Thumpin` Willy``. The boat thumps, hence the name, but is a pleasure to dive out of... It is powered by a 90 HP Yamaha outboard and carries up to six divers, and a non-diving driver. The Underwater Club owns and maintains 12 sets of BCDs and Regulators. All gear is serviced regularly. We provide BCDs, 1st and 2nd stages and occy`s. We don’t provide wetsuits, masks, fins etc. The Underwater Club also owns a portable compressor which is taken on most extended club trips, ensuring both affordable and convenient fills. The Tasmania University Union (TUU) provides a student centred, independent, free, confidential, generalist advice service staffed by our research staff. The service has a comprehensive information system which is regularly updated and a reference library which allows it to deal with a wide range of topics. Staff offer advice and advocacy with the aim of enabling students to decide on the best course of action - whatever the problem. The TUU offers Drop In Sessions where you can seek advice without an appointment (if available) and if not, meetings by appointment on the Sandy Bay campus. Telephone and e-mail advice are also provided
