At Underwater Sports Diving Centre our Instructor team has over 65 years experience and pride themselves on quality scuba education. We make sure that our students have an absolutely fantastic time during their course. All of the courses we offer are Internationally recognized. PADI trains over 80% of Scuba divers today and all members of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors are trained professionals.
We also offer CDAA courses for those wishing to explore South Australia`s magical freshwater sinkholes, caves and caverns.
Learn to Dive! The PADI Open Water diver course is the first step into the amazing world of scuba.
As an open water scuba diver you can dive independently (with a buddy, but without supervision) to a maximum depth of 18m. But why stop there when there is so much to explore!
By going on to complete further courses you will open more opportunities for scuba diving, find more areas of interest, get more out of your diving, and become a better scuba diver too.
Continue your adventure with Advanced Open Water, Rescue, Specialties - complete 5 specialties & Rescue to become a Master Scuba Diver, or go pro - start your dive career by becoming a Divemaster & you can go on to be an EFR Instructor, Open Water Scuba Instructor & much, much more!

Next year our overseas scuba diving trips will feature something for everyone! Firstly we`ll be heading to Thailand in April, lots of fantastic diving, but also a great fun holiday for divers and non-divers alike. For the divers there`s the option to extend the holiday with a liveaboard trip to the Similan ISlands. In Winter (June/July) we will be heading to explore the unspoilt underwater wilderness of Christmas and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, a great trip for the naturalists and those who want to get away from it all, and finally, in September we will be keeping all our tec and wreck divers happy by going to Vanuatu to dive the SS President Coolidge, the largest most accessible wreck dive in the world.
THAILAND: April 7th to 18th - Bookings now open!
We will be based in Krabi, which offers some spectacular nearby diving, and there will be the option to extend your holiday with a liveaboard trip to the Similan islands for those who want even more diving. However, this trip will also suit those who wish to bring a non-diving friend or partner as there is plenty to do above water too: amazing scenery, great shopping, the fun and excitement of the annual water festival, and lots more!
Trip cost $2148 includes:
Return airfares ex Melbourne via Singapore to Phuket

8 nights at the Sabai resort, Krabi (twin share, airconditioned room, breakfast daily)
Krabi diving options:
The Sabai resort is conveniently located near Ao Nang beach, departure point for some of the best Andaman sea diving destinations including:
Shark point - a limestone pinnacle with hard and soft coral growth, leopard sharks, seahorses, turtles, clownfish and other reef fish
King cruiser wreck - an 87m long car ferry that sank in 33m after running aground on the reef near Koh Phi Phi, now home to large pelagics including tuna, jack and barracudas
Anemone reef - limestone outcropping with hard and soft coral growth including a multitude of anemones, home to reef fish, morays, shrimp, ghost pipefish, turtles, frog fish and more
You can book for a double dive day (two dives plus lunch), super dive day (three dives plus lunch), or a five day package including 11 dives (four double dive days, one super dive day).
Liveaboard extention option:
Cost $1259pp including 3 nights ( 1 night prior to liveaboard departure, 2 nights after) in Phuket staying at the Patong Merlin hotel, twin share, including breakfast, 4 nights/4 days aboard the Mermaid II liveaboard to the Similans including tanks, weights and guided dives, all meals, tea, coffee, snacks and soft drinks.
CHRISTMAS & COCOS (KEELING) islands: departs June 12th
Discover a remote untouched wilderness, pristine reef and wall dives, manta rays and more. These sparsely poulated islands provide a unique diving experience as well as gorgeous unspoilt beaches and relaxation. Go at your own pace and experience ulimate relaxation.
