Company description Whether you`re someone wanting to learn to dive, or someone who is already a diver, we welcome you to SCUBA CULTURE - Victoria`s leading Scuba Diving education provider, both recreationally and vocationally.
By browsing our web site you will be able to find out all about our Scuba Diving courses, our licensed dive club, our dive trips, you will be able to meet the crew as well as view photos from recent club dive trips.
Learning to dive at SCUBA CULTURE is only the start, automatically you will become a dive club member and be entitled to all benefits associated with membership, such as discounted equipment purchases, boat dives, equipment servicing, a regular newsletter and much more.
One thing is for sure is that by learning to dive at SCUBA CULTURE you will be taught by the very best instructors available. SCUBA CULTURE is the ONLY training facility IN VICTORIA that has the accreditations to deliver ANTA (Australian National Training authority) accredited SCUBA PROGRAMS at tertiary level with every course mapped against the OUTDOOR EDUCATION package. To teach at the highest level, you`ve got to be the best.
Our 8 dive open water program is again unique to us, in fact we give you twice as much ocean dives as most of our competitors, why? because there is a certain element of risk associated with diving, and only experience where it counts adds safety, comfort and peace of mind.
The Scuba Culture dive club has been formed to give our members what they want and need out of their club, we have been able to do this by asking questions, looking at our track record of successful events over the years, and offering club members incentives to be active
The bonus is that we`ve been doubley blessed with superb visibility. J4`s been visible from the surface, Andrew dived an Open Water course January 21st where from 18mts underwater he could see the boat`s hull on the surface. Having said that, 3 days of Southerly winds in mid January put a new meaning to Limited Visibility diving at Williamstown!
Australia Day club dives were a huge success with Amber leading a crew of club divers out to Lonsdale Wall and Castle Rock, whilst Marco had a crew diving Flinders Pier, unfortunately the swell was too big outside to dive the Gunnery. Most divers then came back to SCUBA CULTURE to wash up their dive gear and enjoy the Australia day BBQ put on by the club. Things came to a grinding halt when the change swept though in mid to late afternoon bringing with it monsoonal rains and high winds.
The next couple of months will see the club playing host to Tracy Price, Victorian Manager of Dive Adventures. Tracy will be speaking about the up and coming Vanuatu trip. This is the best opportunity for those as yet undecided individuals to attend a very informative evening. Along with that a representative of DAN SEAP (Divers Alert Network) will be on hand to help answer questions from divers on DAN membership and insurance cover. We have also secured some special pricing on various pieces of equipment needed to dive in the tropics, these will be on sale to divers going to Vanuatu as part of our club trip, orders with a lay buy facility will be available on the night.
With the end of January now upon us, school having returned (check how long it took you to get to work 2 weeks ago compared to this morning?) the busy holiday haven of Portsea will now be somewhat less crowded, and parking at Portsea will become a less stressful exercise with the afternoon return traffic jams also becoming less of an issue. That`s why early boat dives are the go, you have no issues parking, no issues with personal space in the back of Dive Victoria, and you`re out before the crowds hit the road.
Happy Diving!
