Sydney Australia, Dive Escape is
perfectly situated for instructing all
year round.
Dive Escape can even customise
your course for your groups` needs,
from corporate team building to
overseas students unfamiliar
with Australian waters.
We offer following courses:
The DiVe EsCaPe PADI Open Water Course
In order to maximise learning and diving skills, the course has been expanded in structure. Basically to qualify as a PADI Open Water diver you need to attend five theory modules, five pool modules and a minimum of four ocean dives, as well as completing various quizzes, an exam, and demonstrate a degree of watermanship skills.
The ACADEMIC LESSONS contain all the relevant information required to conduct basic SCUBA diving, plus some extra components to comply with Australian Standards.
The PADI course has been developed over many decades and includes an enormous amount of research into learning. We further utilise the complete range of learning materials using the textbook, Knowledge reviews, quizzes, exams, overheads, and PADI videos. The amount of class time can even be shortened, utilising the PADI Open Water CD Rom, and home study options. Your course can start as soon as you sign up.
The academic lessons also serve to introduce you to local diving locations, and conditions, as well as the numerous trips that DiVe EsCaPe conducts during the course of the year. Slides are shown from around the east Australian coast and other world locations.
We have further found that by stretching out the theory over four nights, retention and learning are enhanced. For people from a non-English background, we also have many of the exams and quizzes in other languages, and the PADI text books are available in most common languages.
In the POOL SESSIONS, you learn all the relevant skills necessary for the open water level. After having seen the demonstration on the video an instructor will demonstrate the skill for you, and then you are required to reach a certain competency before being able to progress to the open water. You further need to be able to show a basic watermanship by being able to swim 200 meters, and tread water/float for 10 minutes.
At the OCEAN we finally get to practice all the theory and skills. Students learn to evaluate conditions, and get a good introduction to Sydney dive sites, which are extremely diverse and actually contain a surprising amount of fish life and colour. Finally, we get to embark on pleasure tours, where we can marvel at the serine yet often comical beauty of underwater life.
Finally, on your BOAT DIVE we get to charter a boat, and as certified divers under the observation of an instructor / divemaster we can dive at one of the great spots.
The boat dive gives us the versatility to travel greater distances, decreases the effort of carrying the gear, and gives us an opportunity to venture deeper
The DiVe EsCaPe PADI Advanced Course

The PADI Advanced and Advanced Plus programs are designed so that an Open Water Diver can gain experience in different types of diving environments and conditions. Minimum requirements for the Advanced course are to complete three core dives - Navigation, Deep, and
and Night, together with two elective dives - choosing form dives including; wreck, Search & Recovery, Naturalist, Underwater Photography, and Boat. Due to the fact that we have found that most students take the Advanced course to improve their navigation skills, and to be able to venture deeper into the underwater world we concentrate more on these skills.
