Reef Charters Dive Boat ``Reef Diver`` is equipped with modern satellite navigation, colour depth scanning units, shower & toilet. This vessel is licensed to carry 21 divers and provides easy access walk-thru transom.
``Reef Diver`` has a regular diving schedule to the local wrecks and reefs around this part of the west coast. We also have quality equipment for hire and sale, also providing service / cylinder test facilities with air fills.
We regularly import container loads of quality diving equipment direct from manufacturers and various international suppliers, providing top quality diving equipment for sale at bargain discount prices.
As some items are not sourced direct from manufacturers we refuse to be bound by manufacturers & wholesalers recommended retail prices. We often supply other dive stores with these same products.

Step 1 - Choice :
The first step to take is to choose a reputable, widely recognised SCUBA diving system. We choose PADI primarily because of their 30 year international reputation and experience in over 95 countries.
We believe it is very important to gain internationally accepted certification. The PADI Open Water Course provides you with certification to dive to depths of up to 18 metres.
Step 2 - Medical :
The second step is to undertake a SCUBA diving medical examination. This is a relatively simple procedure and may be undertaken by your own doctor or one specialising in diving medicals.
As a guide, fees may range between $40 and $150 and it pays to check first. You must be over 12 years of age and under 100. We provide the Medical Form free of charge.
To commence the course you only need supply the completed medical form, together with 2 passport photos for your personalised certification certificate.
Step 3 - Availability :
Next, carefully choose a date that suits you best to do the course and check with us to see if vacancies are available. A $50 deposit is payable upon enrolling.
We run courses weekly, Monday to Friday - day-time and night-time.
Day courses - commencing at 9 am and finish about 2 pm.
Night courses - commencing at 6 pm and finish about 9.30 pm.
Step 4 - Equipment :
All SCUBA equipment is provided free of charge and you only need to bring your towel, mask, fins and snorkel OR you may hire mask, fins and snorkel from us for an extra $39 per course.
Step 5 - The Course :
Our qualified PADI instructor will take you through the theory and teach you important underwater skills.
Lectures with audio/visual aids.
Comprehensive pool instruction and dives to familiarise yourself with all equipment...
and at least 4 ocean dives with an instructor.
Ocean dives are normally completed on
Saturday and Sunday.
