Company description
The Tui Tai Adventure Cruise is a unique holiday designed for active travelers looking to get off the beaten path and experience Fiji. The expedition combines tropical adventure and a chance to immerse you in the culture of Fiji. During your adventure you will kayak, mountain bike, hike through rainforests and waterfalls, snorkel pristine, vibrant reefs, scuba dive in a number of world-class dive sites, visit local villages and more!
The A/S Tui Tai is a magnificent 140-foot sailing schooner based in Savusavu, Fiji. The ship is equipped with Perception kayaks, Kona mountain bikes, full scuba dive operation, quality snorkel gear and air-conditioned accommodations for 24 guests. 16 Fijian officers, sailors, guides and hospitality staff ensure the safety and enjoyment of each guest.
As part of our adventure activities, we are proud to offer scuba diving. We are a PADI International Resort Dive Boat and our itinerary will give you the chance to dive every day and explore dive sites in many pristine and remote locations.
SCUBAPRO manufactures all of our rental dive equipment on board. Our professional dive guide will answer any of your queries about the equipment, dive sites or any other scuba dive related questions.
During the 5-night Adventure Cruise itinerary, we offer up to 11 dives depending on tide, weather and conditions. Under good conditions each island visited offers dive sites catering to all levels of scuba diver, from beginner to advanced. Our professional dive guide on board will select dive sites based on conditions and the desires of the diving clients.
Savusavu Dive Sites:
Golden Nuggets
The nuggets are two coral heads. One is a myriad of soft corals surrounded by schools of purple and orange anthias, masked banner fish, leaf fish, with jacks and barracuda circling. The second is covered in golden soft corals. Lionfish, scorpion fish, trigger fish and moray eels are abundant.
Dreadlocks
Located near the back of Savusavu Bay, this site hosts a lavish array of multicolored hard and soft corals as well as lionfish, fusiliers, filefish and butterfly fish. An abundance of small creatures such as nudibranchs and flatworms decorate this diverse site.
Kioa Dive Sites:
Black Magic
The reef off the corner of Kioa and next to the channel has a steep drop-off wall attracting everything from small anthias to white-tip reef sharks. Large branches of healthy black corals decorate the wall. This is also a great night dive.
Rainbow Passage
One of our favorite Rainbow Reef dives in Somosomo Straits, also known as “Jerry’s Jelly.†Two bommies are wrapped by fresh currents from the Strait provided a staggering cover of lush soft-corals (purple, yellow, white, red and more). Swarms of anthias and small fish will be all around you as you drift along. White-tip reef sharks cruise along and often sleep near the edge on the sea floor. Several large camouflage groupers and maori wrasses make their homes here.
The Great White Wall
Renowned as one of Fiji’s top dive sites. Prepare to be awestruck by a steep wall that descends endlessly to the bottom, completely smothered in lush white soft coral. Off the deep edge of the wall you will find some pelagics. Often schools of batfish stop by to greet us while we drift along the wall. At the end of the dive is a deep swim-through cavern providing an exciting exit to an amazing dive.
The Farm
Here a slight current brings in clear water and nutrients to feed a lush garden of colorful corals. The different colors, shapes and sizes of corals are amazing and there are no signs of bleaching or dead coral. There is also a reef wall covered in a rainbow of colorful corals. A variety of unusual marine creatures make their homes in this wall with occasional visits from white-tips, morays, blue ribbon eels, turtles and manta rays.

Ringgold Island Atolls Dive Sites:
Kokoda Point
Kokoda Point is one of our best wall dives. Crystal clear visibility and a dramatic dropoff make for a prime spot to meet pelagics: barracuda, tuna, eagle rays, sharks and more. The wall is decorated in soft corals, crinoids and large fans. One patch of the wall is covered in sea grapes, for which the site has earned its name. The wall is teaming with fish life and macro creatures.
Wall Street
An endless wall drops off from the Ringgold Island Barrier reef to the west side, facing a channel that often brings in pelagic sightings. Pinnacles emerge from the depths, covered in soft corals and clouded by orange and purple anthias. This has been a great site for nudibranchs, flatworms and lionfish. Visibility here is spectacular.
Ringgold Island Atolls Exploratory Diving
The Ringgold Island Atolls and its barrier reef are completely isolated and only visited by Tui Tai Adventure Cruises. We are constantly discovering new sites inside the many barrier reef passages and dramatic outer walls.
Koro Dive Sites:
Shark Fin Point
This site is a magnet for some large marine life. Expect to see several eagle-rays amongst the hundreds of barracuda that gather around a point in the reef that shoots out into the Koro Sea. Also in the area are dogtooth tuna, grey reef sharks and hammerhead sharks.
Cliffs of Insanity
Another amazing set of underwater caves and canyons that end in a dramatically steep drop-off for which the site is named. Expect to be followed by a school of 200 curious barracuda.
Koro Exploratory Diving
Koro has many undiscovered dive sites and you may have the chance to explore new dive sites and name them! Koro has a unique location with currents from the Koro Sea feeding its reefs and providing amazing visibility in crystal clear water. Expect to see large numbers of fish, from small to very large!
