Company description Currently, French Polynesia is not well known in the scuba world, but that is what you will enjoy about it. With fewer divers it is easier to preserve this little paradise...just for you.
Our dive centres in Bora Bora, Moorea, Rangiroa and Tahiti provide all necessary gear. The equipment is actually provided for FREE. All our centres are authorized PADI dive centres which means we dive according to the standards and safety rules of PADI. The French law for dive centres is very strict and we are inspected at least once a year to make sure all guidelines and safety measures are met.
All our equipment is Scubapro. We dive with 12 litre steel tanks (15 litre tanks are available by request) and with Aluminium 12 litre tanks for NITROX only. The tank valve is an INT and can be changed to a DIN one. We use Scubapro R-190 regulators with R-190 Octopi.
Accommodations - The Resort:
BORA BORA Dive Resort is a small luxury hotel with only 9 bungalows. You`ll find 3 over water bungalows and 6 others in the exquisite garden.
All are constructed from hardwood, have a pandanus roof (a kind of local palm tree leaf) and marble floor.
All are equipped with air conditioning, king size bed and sofa for a third person if needed. You`ll also find an outdoor terrace.
As we are a small resort, we can provide personalized service above and beyond any other resort; you`ll be among familly during your stay with us.
There is a central fresh water pool next to the restaurant facing the ocean and a sun deck for relaxing. We have a beautiful terrace on the lagoon, where you can have dinner at night.
Our restaurant is known as one of the best tables on the island and we serve fine dishes of French and International cuisine with an unique red wine list.
You`ll find a dive center inside the resort where you can sign up for regular dives or, if you are new to the scuba diving world, you can train to become PADI certified during your vacation.
For non divers we provide a wide choice of activities with the best providers on the island.
When you are ready, you can reserve your room online through a secure page or email us at your convenience for more information.
Keep in mind to do it early enough. During the busiest months in French Polynesia you should reserve at least two months in advance to make sure that a room will be available.

•Shower (and Bathtub for OW bungalows only)
•Separate shower
•Hair dryer

•Personal safe
•Mini bar

Location description: Actually, French Polynesia is the ideal spot for all levels of scuba divers. There are dive locations for the beginner inside the lagoon and more technical ones outside the reef. The visibility is very good in all locations ; however as anywhere else it is dependent on factors outside our control such as weather and currents.
Diving is excellent year round which means that there is no ``best`` season for scuba diving in French Polynesia. We have both a dry and a rainy season. The rainy season is during the Tahitian summer which lasts from December until February, and typically involves rain in the morning with sun in the afternoon.
The water temperature ranges from 77 degrees during the winter to 86 degrees during the summer. Many divers here dive without a wet suit, but we suggest you dive with one to keep from getting chilly (a 3mm short wet suit should keep you plenty warm).
If you do not have one, we will provide for free a 3mm short wet suit in any of our TOPdive centres.
If you enjoy seeing big fish this is the place to be. Sharks, sharks, and more sharks.
Tahiti was rated shark capital of the Pacific by Skin Diver magazine and it definitely lives up to its rating. Lemon, grey, black tip, white tip, and hammerhead sharks all make the waters around Tahiti their home.
The waters of Bora Bora are also home to the graceful manta rays. We are very lucky here, as we can see them inside the lagoon which means the dive location is perfect for divers with little experience, as the maximum depth is 60 feet.
To get the most enjoyment out of diving with the big fish it is important to not touch or swim towards them. Instead, when you see one swimming towards you, stay calm, keep your arms close to your body and try to make as few movements and bubbles as possible. You should try to stay out of their direct path so that they don`t have to swim around you. If you are careful you can follow them after they have passed, but they are fast and you will rapidly run out of breath if you try to keep up for too long.
