Company description Blue Lagoon Dive Shop in Chuuk (Truk Lagoon) opened its doors to divers on November 13, 1973. Since then the humble shack has grown into a modern dive shop that provides full service to divers looking for adventure on the historic wrecks of Truk. Gradvin Aisek carries the legacy of his father, Kimiuo who opened the underwater world of Truk Lagoon to the world. His experience and knowledge of the wrecks has given divers an opportunity to enjoy ``the World`s Greatest Wreck Diving.``
Situated on the grounds of the Blue Lagoon Dive Resort, formerly known as the Truk Continental Hotel, the air conditioned dive shop provides sales, service and classes. A fleet of fast dive boats and knowledgeable guides provide easy access to the wrecks and allows divers the freedom to dive in small, personal groups on wrecks of their choice. This is where you will find some if the best diving in Micronesia.
The modern dive shop features air conditioning, a spacious classroom, rental & repair services, a selection of Truk Lagoon t-shirts & caps. and a series of books with information and pictures on the wrecks.
Gradvin Aisek has started work towards building a museum on the grounds in memory of his father, Blue Lagoon founder, Kimiuo Aisek. The museum will commemorate the important role Kimiuo had in the development of tourism in Chuuk and the historical background made possible through his personal experience. Kimiuo Aisek lived through the invasion of Truk Lagoon and went on to build the diving business that is so successful today.
A fleet of fast, comfortable, covered boats is available with knowledgeable guides to get you out to the wrecks quickly.
Storage lockers and rinse tanks are available at the hotel dock, where your boat and guide will meet you in the morning.
The Blue Lagoon staff and dive guides are knowledgeable on the wrecks and locations. Years of history and experience are the heart of Blue Lagoon`s success.
Gradvin Aisek and his staff will answer your questions and arrange for your Chuuk Diving permit, rental equipment and dive guides. Major Credit cards are accepted. Contact us at BLDiveShop@mail.fm

A limited quantity of Helium & Sodasorb are stocked. Both these should be booked in advance to ensure an adequate quantity is available for your dives.
Location description: After many years in a downtown location, the Blue Lagoon Dive shop relocated to this prime location on the tip of Weno Island.
The new dive shop and resort, wholly owned and operated by the Aisek family of Tonoas Island (formerly Dublon), occupy the most prime property on the southern tip of Weno Island (formerly Moen, in the village of Neauwo. The coconut-studded spacious grounds include the island`s best beaches and sunset views. The hotel`s 54 rooms have undergone a multi-phase $3.2 million renovation program and the hotel`s dock provides easy departures for trips to the wrecks.
When you experience the mystery and excitement of the Fujikawa Maru with its beautiful soft coral growth and schools of colorful fish or descend into the cargo holds of the Sankisan and San Francisco Maru you will understand why the license plates in Chuuk call it ``Divers Haven.`` With over 40 wrecks to dive you will want to extend your trip!
Explore the wrecks of Truk with Blue Lagoon Dive Shop.
Shipwrecks have fascinated divers from the earliest history of diving. The excitement of discovery combined with the thrill of descending down the anchor line as it disappears into deep blue water is never far away from the wreck diver`s heart.
The mystery of individual wrecks such as the Andrea Doria and the Titanic seem bigger than life until the diver`s imagination begins to understand the idea of a ``sea of wrecks`` in tropical water and accessible with only a short boat ride.
The wrecks of Truk Lagoon cover many diverse interests. The history buff can visualize the years that these huge ships sat intact and full of equipment, supplies and men working the thunderous engines. Divers can cruise the decks of the ships and see the colorful soft corals that cover the ships. The wrecks serve as artificial reefs to the many varieties of sea life that inhabit the lagoon and are an underwater photographer`s dream.
Each wreck has it`s own history and it`s own unique structure. The cargo varies as widely as the fish swimming through the holds -- ammunition, periscopes, airplane engines & frames, jeeps, tanks, china and other artifacts litter the decks and quarters. Medicine bottles hold their magic elixir in the operating rooms below the deck. Telegraphs, covered in marine growth stand ready to signal the next direction to the navigators.
Truk Lagoon is a one-of-a-kind experience -- there is no other place like it in the world.
