Company description Qualmark endorsed Dive White is a fully accredited PADI 5 star Dive Centre based in Whakatane. Dive White runs regular scheduled dive trips to the island all year round. Fast, efficient surveyed vessels are used for the trip to the island. All trips have a PADI certified Divemaster or Instructor accompanying the divers and lunch and refreshments are provided. Dive White specialises in looking after individual divers and have packages to suit from supplying all dive gear to none.
Dive White, a fully accredited 5 Star PADI Dive Centre, operates a charter boat fleet with frequent scheduled dive trips to White Island. Every trip is accompanied by a PADI-certified DiveMaster or Instuctor to act as your guide and ensure you get the most from your dives.
Lunch and all refreshments are supplied including Plunger Coffee, Hot Chocolate,Tea, Milo, Hot Soup and bottled water. A full range of scuba equipment can be hired from Dive White. The trips to White Island are about 8 hours in duration. Trips operate seven days during the summer (depending on the weather) and on demand during the off peak season.

Location description: White Island is an active volcano 48 kilometres off the shores of Whakatane. Because White Island is one of the world`s best scuba diving destinations, it provides a very unique dive experience as New Zealand`s only active marine volcano. As such, it attracts hundreds of divers every year.
White Island is New Zealand`s only active marine volcano. The crystal clear deep blue waters that surround the island are legendary for huge numbers of fish. Blue and Pink Mao Mao, Sweep, Wrasse, Lord Howe Coralfish, Kingfish, Golden Snapper,Moray Eels, Stingrays are just some of the many species of fish that you will see.
Diving at White Island is so spectacular. Not only the fish life is prolific and visibility is world class but where else can you dive and experience viewing volcanic activity and volcanic terrain. A range of dive sites are available from sites suitable for beginners through to the experienced.
2004 was an excellent year for Dive White the premier operator of White Island Diving excursions. Dive White won the 2004 AAA Awards for tourism in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The Bi annual awards are sourced after and Dive White is proud to show that the dive operation is not only professional but gives its customers you the diver exceptional service.
