| Sailing Safaris has been in Vava`u watching whales and chartering boats since 1991. Between us we have more than 30 years experience of the whales and have spent more than 40 years sailing and sharing the beauty and history of Vava`u and Tonga.
Throughout the year, Sailing safaris offers yacht charters - skippered and bareboat, learn to sail courses, islands tours, beach barbecues, a full marine centre for boat repairs and a waterfront bar and restaurant, The Mermaid.
From May to November we offer whale-watching trips daily as well as speedboats for private charters and specialist groups such as photographers and film crews.
Diving - visibility 50+ metres, wrecks, reefs and spectacular marine life, oh water at 28-35 °C!
Sailing Safaris Marine Centre is Fea`o`s kingdom. We offer expert mechanical engineering, skilled fibre-glass repairs, a slipway suitable for up to 30 tonnes, laundry, petrol, diesel, water, moorings, showers, toilets, a courier and poste restante service, ice, advice, beer and cheer.....
At Sailing Safaris, you`re with the most experienced whale-watchers in Tonga, perhaps the world. All boats are skippered and crewed by our experienced Tongan staff and all trips include a fascinating presentation on the whales and their behaviour. Our boats all have hydrophones too so not only can you see them but you can also hear the humpbacks famous song.
