The American diver has gone missing in the waters off Kuantan
The American diver who has been travelling with his friend James Edward, 27, on a yacht from the Thai resort island of Phuket has gone missing after the yacht was damaged by an unknown vessel.
63-year-old Kenneth Wayne wanted to take underwater photos in the waters off Kuantan. The boat arrived in Malaysian waters and then unknown vessel hit it and sped off says Sayed Noradli - Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency official.
James Edward and three crew members were rescued by the local fisherman several hours after the incident but Wayne was still missing.
Sayed Noradli also said that Adwerd and yacht's cook Butsara Tantaksuwan were seriously injured in the collision. Ship's captain and another member of yacht's staff suffered minor injuries.
