British woman diver died of brain injury caused by decompression.
53 y.o. British woman died in hospital 24 hours after the dive in Cirkewwa. She started to have a problems during the dive last Thursday and her son had to carry her to the surface. She then complained she was having trouble breathing and after a while stopped breathing altogether loosing consciousness.
She was taken to hospital and died soon after that. An autopsy showed severe brain injury caused by decompression, which is when divers either descend or surface fast forming nitrogen bubbles in the blood.
