U.S. Coast Guard helicopter rescues man with the bends in Florida
On Sunday afternoon a diver was rescued by U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from a dive boat off Johns Pass in Florida.
The Coast Guard received a call at about 2 p.m. on Sunday from the members of commercial dive boat's crew who said a man aboard suffered from decompression sickness.
The rescue helicopter was sent from the station in Clearwater and hoisted diver aboard about 2 hours later. 55-year-old Bill Nelson was taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
