Divers have found a legendary shipwreck in the Lake Ontario

Dianne Groll, a Queen's University psychiatry professor who made a first inspection said they are 99 per cent sure that this is legendary Canadian-built ship from the War of 1812 called the Wolfe.

The team of divers in collaboration with marine archaeologists from Parks Canada plant to measure the shipwreck and take drawings and photographs that appears to match the size of the famous 32-metre warship.

The Wolf was built on the Lake Ontario shore and played an important role in war against the Americans who wanted to control the Great Lakes.

The warship participated in numerous battles throughout 1812-1814 war and was scuttled years after the war near Kingston.
