Richmond teenage girl wins national scuba-diving award
15-year-old teenage girl Latifah Neblett-Burrell from Richmond (USA) will travel to Savannah State University in Georgia to be named Youth Female Diver of the Year by the National Association of Black Scuba Divers.
She learned to dive through the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority's Youth Sports and Fine Arts Academy.
The award will be given to her on June 25 on the association's sixth annual Youth Educational Summit. Plus she'll get another award from the U.S. Department of Interior in Washington.
