Diver from Fort Pierce faces 20 charges related to illegal spear fishing
David P. Hunt, 33, diver from Fort Pierce (Florida) faces 20 charges after spearing 7 lobsters, snook and 7 red snappers out of season. He was spotted by a local corporal from Department of Environmental Protection on the beach at Avalon State Park carrying a semi-transparent bag with lobsters.
When officer made a contact with Hunt, he said: "I am sorry, I have lobster and I know I shouldn't".
Lobster and snook are both out of season. According to the local regulations, snook season is closed between June and August, and lobster season is closed between April 1 and Aug 5.
