Sidmouth Diver succoured by local lifeboat crew
A diver from Sidmouth (UK) was saved by local lifeboat crew after the rapid current swept him out to sea on Wednesday.
Sidmouth Rescue Centre received a call at 11 am from member of public saying that there is a man shouting and waving for help near Otterton Ledge. The boat called The Pride of Sidmouth and helicopter were sent to help the diver. It was successfully done just after 12 pm.
One of the lifeboat crew members said that people should be aware of a rapid currents around the rocks of Otterton Ledge which can drag swimmers out to sea.
