12-year-old boy suffers the bends during dive
Dominic Harvey was airlifted to hospital after suffering the bends. The accident occurred during a dive session in the sea off Portland, near Weymouth, Dorset, UK.
His father Alan Harvey said it was Dominic's last dive of the training course. He started to panic 4 meters down and surfaced too quickly. After that he started to have headaches and breathing difficulties. He was taken out of water by a dive supervisors who called a helicopter. Dominic was delivered to the local hospital and placed into decompression chamber.
The young diver has fully recovered now and already thinking about his next dive.
